There are plenty of great videos this month, especially from the bombastic fighting game tournament, EVO. But for something a little different, check out the livestream of another competitive gaming tournament that took place in Las Vegas, the Wicked6 Cyber Games tournament at the HyperX Esports Arena. No fireballs, no combos, nothing like that here. In this event, a collection of diverse collegiate teams, against the clock and each other, attempt to competitively solve security challenges in a game environment.
Since this is a new and unique sort of tournament, it might take some patience to decode what’s happening and follow the flow over the course of the five hour plus stream. Being familiar with infosec challenges and networking interfaces helps too.
