If an event focused on the gamer-friendly world of wearable technology and Internet of things technology gets attention and attendance in San Francisco after its second year, it could work in a European world capital. That’s one possible reason why Wearable World‘s GLAZEDCon is being exported across the Atlantic to London in the autumn this year.
In the UK, this event will be a one day summit held in London on October 22nd. No venue has been cited as of yet. In conjunction with the summit, it’ll be coupled with the first annual Wearable World Expo, an investor, press and consumer-facing showcase with a focus on 50 global wearable technology companies.
Adding to the main event and its accompanying expo, “Wearable World will host its next series of hackathons in London during GlazedCon as part of its Wearable World Invents Series. Following the first ever In-Air Hackathon with Wearable World’s partner American Airlines, Wearable World will now focus on another industry to ensure that no niche is left behind,” states the Wearable World site.
“London has steadily been growing as an international fashion and technology hub. Bringing the Glazed Conference to London was the next inevitable step for us,” said Wearable World CEO, Redg Snodgrass. “The Wearable Tech and IoT ecosystem in London has been waiting for a conference like Glazed, and I’m excited to announce that Wearable World is here to bring it to them.”
