GDC Next 2014 featuring ADC is right around the corner, and the organizers of the event have just revealed two new discussions for the event. Damian Kastbauer from Popcap Games is scheduled to give a speech on the efforts required to deliver great game audio regardless of the platform; a panel of experienced talent will reveal what they have learned about building a brand for your mobile game that is reputable and long lasting on a global scale.
Kastbauer’s talk is called “Game Audio-No Excuses,” and is aimed to help developers understand the similarities and differences between current game audio best practices across platforms. Another panel called the “Building A Global Mobile Brand with Longevity” will see mobile game/app develops sharing their insights of how to build a lasting brand with global appeal. Among the issues that will be discussed include strategic licensing, business development, international distribution, and leveraging your intellectual property.
