The call for speakers is an evergreen call to action for folks (in the games industry, for the purpose of staying on message) with opinions, ideas and experiences they wish to share with audiences with whom they can do business or register influence with. Lest we forget, there is the sweet icing on the cake of the free conference passes and other perks that usually go along with the lofty role of conference speaker or panelist.
